Air Charter for Time-Critical Cargo

Air charter for time-critical cargo is a coordinated transportation solution for shipments that cannot rely on standard freight schedules. McMahon evaluates the cargo, origin, destination, and targeted protect time before sourcing an appropriate option. Depending on the shipment, service may use a dedicated helicopter, jet, or turboprop aircraft, with ground delivery coordinated on each end.

The service catalog states a 15-minute sourcing time for applicable cargo charter solutions. Actual transportation timing depends on aircraft availability, shipment specifications, routing, airport or site access, and required ground handling. McMahon’s operations team immediately reviews the request and coordinates the most time-efficient available option based on the customer’s targeted protect time.

In many scenarios, helicopter operations can reach locations where airport access is unavailable or impractical. McMahon’s dedicated helicopter fleet is designed for short and medium-range premium freight, and airports are optional in most cases. The operations team reviews the origin, destination, cargo, site conditions, and mission requirements before confirming an appropriate delivery plan.

McMahon coordinates several aircraft solutions based on the shipment and route. Its dedicated helicopter fleet supports short and medium-range premium freight, while jet and turboprop aircraft are coordinated through air carrier partners for long-range or larger cargo requirements. Helicopters can also be coordinated with fixed-wing charter service when a last-mile delivery solution is needed.

Yes. McMahon offers turnkey door-to-door air charter logistics with ground delivery coordinated on each end of the shipment. This creates one coordinated solution rather than requiring the customer to arrange separate air and ground providers. Available transportation and handling arrangements depend on the cargo, route, site access, aircraft selection, and shipment requirements.

The catalog specifically identifies automotive, aerospace, and energy customers, along with business customers requiring time-critical shipments. McMahon supports emergency parts delivery, just-in-time manufacturing cargo, production downtime prevention, and other premium freight requirements. The team evaluates each request according to the shipment specifications, delivery needs, and targeted protect time.

Real-time shipment tracking is available for McMahon’s air cargo charter service through the McMahon tracking portal at go.mcmahonnow.com.
